A fur coat inherited from your mother, aunt, grandmother, or another presents a conundrum: While you can’t seem to part with it, you likewise can’t bring yourself to wear it. Faced with this dilemma, the idea of Further was born — the productive reuse of beloved family heirlooms that honors the natural material and the family members that prized them.

The inspiration for the identity came from the desired goal for the brand — a luxury, one-of-a-kind way to repurpose a legacy item. References included Brunello Cucinelli labels, with blank lines to fill in the owner’s name, and Slim Aarons photography depicting the luxurious ski scenes of Switzerland in the ‘60s and ‘70s.
